Binbrook Conservation Area information

From Stoney Creek:
- Take Hwy 20, which turns into Hwy 56 N. past Binbrook to Kirk Rd.
- Turn Right on Kirk Rd.
- Turn left (south) after about 1 Km onto Harrison Rd.
- Go about 1 Km to park entrance on the right-hand (west) side of the road.
- We set up at the far end, left (south) side of the park.
From Haldimand, Brantford:
- Take Hwy 56. N. to Kirk Rd.
- Turn LEFT onto Kirk Rd
- Turn left (south) after about 1 Km onto Harrison Rd.
- Go about 1 Km to park entrance on the right-hand (west) side of the road.
- We set up at the far end, left (south) side of the park.
Note: #2 site is used in the winter for something really special when the road into the Binbrook Conservation Area is snowbound.

Hint:
When approaching other stargazers in your car at night, turn off your headlights to prevent deterioration of their coveted nightvision.
Most newer cars will shut off the headlamps if the parking brake is depressed lightly (to the first notch). The car will still move but DO NOT leave the brake on for long periods or you could wear out the brake.
Use this technique at your own risk (you did not hear it from us).
