The Hamilton Amateur Astronomers will have solar eclipse glasses available at upcoming events between now and the August 21st event. Please be sure to visit the Hamilton Amateur Astronomers at one of our stargazing events and grab yourself a pair. If you have questions about the upcoming solar eclipse, be sure to ask! Our club members are happy to share their experience and offer tips for great viewing.
The 2017 total solar eclipse will occur this August 21st and totality will be visible only through parts of the United States. For those who don’t want to travel, a partial eclipse will be visible from Hamilton and area and it’s well worth looking up!

Wanting More?
Hello.
Looking to buy 3 pairs of the specialized glasses to view the solar eclipse.
Can you confirm if they’re available for sale & how I would go about acquiring them.
Thank-you.
Hello, Is there anywhere to pick up glasses in person? Unfortunately I work at night and I am unable to come to the August 12 event, even though I would love to. I purchased some glasses on line from Runfron Direct, now I’m nervous if they are certified properly, they say they are but on purchased them online at amazon.ca. I’m willing to purchase them too from you. I’m looking for 7 pairs for my family. Could you possibly email me back and let me know if this is possible or where locally I can pickup or purchase glasses.
Thanks for all your help!,
Lisa
