HAA Calendar
Our Annual Celestial Events Calendar is now available for online sales. You can either order your calendar for in-person pickup at our December General Meeting or, for a small fee, we will mail the calendar(s) to where ever you like.
The calendars make great Christmas gifts and the are a way to share these great astrophotographs with your friends and family.

Join us this Friday November 8, 2024 meeting at 7:30 pm in the Parish Hall at St. Matthew’s-on-the-Plains Anglican Church, 126 Plains Road E. Burlington.
This month’s presentation will feature Doug Turner in conversation with the astrophotographers and artists that have their work in the 2025 Celestial Events Calendar. You don’t want to miss the unveiling of the 2025 Calendar! The pictures are quite stunning.
Calendars will be on sale for $12 cash or cheque at the in-person meeting on Friday. Stay tuned for an email notice of when the calendars will go on sale through the HAA website.

Join us this Friday, December 8th for our regular monthly meeting!
There is no speaker this month to allow time for our Seasonal Social. The meeting will start with announcements, Ann Tekatch will present the 2021-2022 financial statement and information will be shared about the 2 possible new venues for the club’s meetings. Members at the meeting will be given the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts about the two possible locations, after which a final decision on our new venue will be made. Matthew Mannering will then present “The Sky this Month” which will be followed by the Seasonal Social.
Join us this Friday, November 10th for our regular monthly meeting!
The meeting will be available on Zoom as well as being available on YouTube after the meeting. The ZOOM address is available at the end of this invitation.
The speaker for our meeting is Doug Turner. Doug, editor of the HAA Celestial Events Calendar, will be presenting a preview of the new calendar. Members who have pictures in the calendar will be discussing their photos and club members will have an opportunity to ask questions.
The 2024 Celestial Events Calendar will be on sale at the meeting on Friday starting at the Break. $10 per calendar Cash or Cheque only. The calendars make great gifts. So, shop early! Online calendar sales will open at a later date.

This Friday November 13th at 7:30pm we will be holding our November member’s meeting! This is an online Zoom meeting, and all members are invited to join the meeting and enjoy the presentations. Non-members can join our YouTube live stream.
This is November and that means the HAA Celestial Events Calendar is being rolled out. This month we will hear from many of the photographers behind the images with insight into the how and why of their photos. In the past we have had outside astrophotography experts speak to us about this beautiful and challenging hobby within the hobby, but it turns out we have some exceptionally skilled and talented imagers right here!

It will be available for purchase at this Friday’s meeting. The cost is only $15 or 2 calendars for $25. It’s loaded with beautiful astrophotos from our very own members and lots of great observing info.
The calendar makes a beautiful gift and all the proceeds go back into the club to help with activities like the telescope loaner program, public observing programs and our monthly lecture series.
So be sure to pick up your copy on Friday as they go very quickly!
