We have some very sad news to share with the HAA community.
Michael Jefferson passed away on November 22, 2022.
Mike was a founding member of the Hamilton Amateur Astronomers, and a familiar face on our council over the years. His contributions to the club have been many. More importantly, he was a treasured friend. We are going to feel his loss keenly.

Sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. I enjoyed his conversations during the RTO/ERO Java Time socials with other retired teachers. He will be greatly missed on these occasions. Our sincerest sympathies go out to his family during this very difficult time.
